Baby! It's cold outside!!!!

BBBRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!

It was 35 below zero celsius this morning and now has warmed up to a balmy 33 below zero!

Now that's cold! Poor horses are feeling the cold too!! I'm feeding them a warm grain mash twice a day, along with lots of hay. I have to put a blanket on my poor old horse- Chicklet-she really feels the cold and needs extra padding to keep her old bones warm.

Ed had a hard time getting the truck going this morning. First he had to go out and get the generator going so he could plug his truck in, then the plug on the pick-up broke off because it's SO COLD! Oh well, he finally got the truck to start despite everything!! HOORAY.

We are suppose to be getting snow on and off over the next week. Hopefully that means the temperature will go up too.

The warm summer weather is starting to look mighty fine right about now. Really, it won't be long and it will be time to start gardening , haying and picking wild berries again.

Then it will be time for hiking, camping, fishing and warming up our old bones too, in the warm sun rays.

Today is a good day to make a pot full of soup and work on indoor projects.
